Garou (Hero Hunter)
Garou, known in-game as the Hero Hunter, is an S-tier powerhouse in The Strongest Battlegrounds and one of the strongest characters in the game. Based on the primary antagonist of the One Punch Man series, Garou embodies martial excellence and adaptability. His defining gameplay trait is that he gains armor on virtually all of his moves, granting him extraordinary survivability during combos. Several of his attacks are also uncounterable, meaning they cannot be parried or reflected — making him particularly effective against characters who rely on counter mechanics.
Garou’s playstyle centers on aggressive grab-based offense with precise positioning to execute maximum burst damage in sustained 1v1 encounters.

- His Prey’s Peril counter is especially effective against Saitama, who relies heavily on projectile and finisher moves
- Speed-o-Sound Sonic and Genos struggle against Garou due to his armor negating their rapid-hit playstyles
- In Awakening Mode, Garou gains access to his “Monster Awakening” form, dramatically boosting all stats
