The Watering Can is the most fundamental tool in Grow a Garden. Every player starts with one, and using it regularly on your crops is the single most impactful action for improving harvest quality and speed. Neglecting to water plants results in slower growth, lower yields, and reduced mutation chance.

How to Obtain
- Every new player receives a free Watering Can at the start of the game
- If lost, purchase a replacement from the Starter Shop for 500 sheckles
- Upgraded variants are available: Gold Watering Can (larger radius, 3,000,000 sheckles) and Diamond Watering Can (auto-waters nearby plants, event/premium item)
Notes
- Water each plant twice per grow cycle for optimal results — once at planting and once at the halfway point
- The Diamond Watering Can auto-waters all nearby plants every 5 minutes, freeing you from manual watering
- Plant health from regular watering directly increases mutation chance — healthy plants mutate more often
- In group play, anyone can water your plants — coordinate with friends for round-the-clock crop health
- Watering is especially critical for high-value seeds like Rainbow Seed and Golden Watermelon where any yield bonus compounds enormously
