The Wrench is a critical maintenance tool in A Dusty Trip. Vehicles degrade over time from rough terrain, collisions, and event damage. Without a Wrench to perform repairs, the Motorhome’s engine and wheels will eventually fail, leaving your group stranded. It is one of the most important non-fuel items in the game.

How to Obtain
- Auto Repair Shops: The primary spawn location — look for mechanic buildings along the route
- Gas Stations: Sometimes found in the side storage areas of stations
- Abandoned Vehicles: Wrecked cars on the road occasionally have a Wrench in the trunk
- Hardware Stores: Looting town buildings has a chance to yield a Wrench
Survival Tips
- Repair the Motorhome before damage hits critical — don’t wait until the engine starts smoking
- The Wrench degrades with each use; carry a spare in storage whenever possible
- Prioritize repairing the engine and wheels as those components break first under heavy load
- Assign one player in multiplayer to be the dedicated mechanic — they should always hold a Wrench
- Combining regular Wrench repairs with Gas Can refuels keeps the Motorhome running indefinitely
